Cecilia Cheung Said Nicholas Pretending to be a Good Father

After almost a month of silence, Hong Kong celebrity Cecilia Cheung finally speaks up and reveals details of her marriage with husband Nicholas Tse.

In an exclusive phone interview with Oriental Daily, Cheung bursts out at Tse, telling him to "stop pretending to be a good man" and accused him of feeding the public with false information and spreading negative rumours about her.

Cheung told Oriental Daily that she believed Tse fed their friend, television host Eileen Cha, with information and "authorised" her to reveal details of their relationship.

In a radio show on May 30, Cha had said that the two were facing a relationship crisis and are close to splitting up. Cha also revealed details such as the rent Cheung is currently paying - personal information which Cheung said only Tse knew.

When asked why she thought that Tse was the person behind the rumours, Cheung replied calmly: "I've been married to him for five years and have known him since I was 18 years old - of course I know what type of person he is.

Cecilia Cheung now said to have businessman-boyfriend.

"A lot of things only the two of us know about - conversations that we had between the two of us as husband and wife that a third party has no way of knowing."

Much has been reported about the celebrity couple's marital woes for the past month. Cheung was seen as a gold-digger and troublemaker, and is even rumoured to be dating a rich Chinese businessman.

Despite the brouhaha, neither party came forward to confirm or deny if their marriage of five years is indeed on the rocks.

Cheung said that the reason why she kept silent all this while was because of her children.

"I didn't want my two sons to grow up in a broken, single parent family – but he (Tse) did not appreciate it!

"Even up until yesterday, right before I got on the plane, he was still secretly 'releasing' information to the public. I truly couldn't stand it anymore and felt that I needed to come out and say something."

She revealed that Tse never cared much about their children and whenever he is at home, they were invisible to him.

"He pretty much ignores them. The only reason he wanted me to have kids was so he could tie me down – he actually doesn't even like children," said Cheung.

Cheung and Tse have not been in contact for the past month. Cheung told Oriental Daily that she contacted his assistant to inform Tse that if he continued releasing false information to the public, she will reveal his true colours.

"I told him to stop pretending to be a good man, good husband, good father!" exclaimed Cheung.

She said she could hear Tse yelling expletives next to his assistant, telling Cheung to go ahead and talk about him.

He was also heard saying: "I worked so hard to make the public have a bad image of you, let's see who the people are going to believe."

So are the two really getting a divorce?

Cheung replied that the issue can be taken up later, as her only intention now is to reveal Tse's true colours.

Nicholas, whose father Patrick and mother Deborah Lee divorced when he was 15, did not want the children to suffer the same misery as him.

But it appears that Cecilia is never satisfied.

After the in-flight incident last month, Nicholas had given up hopes on his marriage.

Although he had taken three days off from shooting Against War, and had initially planned to spend them with Cecilia on her birthday, he decided to stay back in Malaysia.

The fuming Cecilia again, sent a threatening message to Nicholas, saying: "I want a divorce!"

Losing his patience, Nicholas threw his phone on the ground and agreed to the split.

Realising that she had dug a hole for herself, Cecilia immediately stormed the husband's cellphone with tons of SMSes.

She also hinted to the media that she was pregnant with the third baby in an attempt to reconcile the relationship but he ignored all the news and did not answer her calls.

A Hong Kong magazine also reported that Deborah was unhappy with the daughter-in-law because her son had to even take care of her family - her parents and two brothers.

Nicholas had wanted to save up for the children and buy a home for Lucas but the idea was rejected by Cecilia.

Instead she had made him spent at least HK$20mil (RM7.8mil) on the Cheungs.

The couple, both 30, was spotted without their wedding rings recently.

The family has also separated. Cecilia and Lucas have moved into their new rented home while Quintus - the younger son - lives with Deborah.

According to latest news reports, the couple would sign the separation documents on Monday.

But some people have doubts over the speculations as Monday is the Duanwu Festival (Dragon Boat Festival), which is a public holiday in Hong Kong.

Oriental Daily reported that Cecilia has planned an early Father's Day celebration for her husband with their children.

"Using this as an excuse, she plans to bring their children to Malaysia, mainly to make her last effort to save their marriage," the daily said.

It is learnt the film crew shooting Against War with Nicholas in Malaysia are prepared for any consequences related to Cecilia's arrival, as they did not want any delay of the shooting.

As for now, they are using all resources to stop Cecilia from interrupting the progress of the filming and coming to Malaysia as Nicholas does not want to meet her.

Although speculation has it that the couple would split, senior entertainment reporter Eileen Cha Siu-yan – a family friend of the Tses - has an opposite view.

"Nicholas is too soft-hearted, he may forgive his wife again," she said, adding that the chances of them going separate ways were very slim as Nicholas did not want their children to grow up in an incomplete family.

Meanwhile, Chinese magazine Dong Zhang Xin Wang reported that Cecilia allegedly wanted Nicholas's assets because she felt insecure after allegedly discovering that he has a mistress in China.

Hong Kong, China (CNN) – The internet in China is on fire after the online announcement that billionaire Wang Gongquan, co-founder of CDH Investment, was planning to run away with his mistress, Wang Qin, the founder of Jiangsu Zhongfu Science and Technology Industrial Group Co.

On Monday night, on Sina Weibo – a popular microblog site similar to Twitter (which is banned in the mainland) - the billionaire wrote:

“Friends, relatives and colleagues, I am giving up everything and eloping with Wang Qin. Thank you for the care and support over the years. I wish you all happiness! I cannot face everyone’s expectations and trust, and we also cannot explain. I’m sorry for leaving without saying goodbye. I ask for forgiveness.”

Since the post, the Chinese press and online community – the world’s largest – has been abuzz over the announcement.

Today, a new post from Wang, one of China’s top venture capitalists, is bound to fan the flames. Wang wrote that family and friends were worried he had been “taken away by the government” for his past speeches on sensitive matters and defense of Xu Zhiyong, a Beijing University lecturer and human rights activist.

China has been cracking down on dissent in recent months – most notably with the detainment of artist Ai Weiwi – following the uprisings earlier this year in the Middle East and calls for similar protests in China.

A translation of what Wang wrote: “Many family members and friends are worried about me and thought I was forced to disappear because I make sensitive comments and participate activities of fighting for equal rights for education that started by Xu Zhiyong,” he wrote, referring to the Beijing University lecturer and founder of the Open Constitution Initiative who was arrested in 2009 on tax evasion charges.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that CDH – whose venture capital arm, CDH Venture, is ranked by Forbes as the 5th best venture capital company in China – has distributed a letter saying Wang “is taking some time off and that both the venture and private equity fund were operating normally.”

Looks like Pamela Anderson's latest animal campaign, Cruelty Doesn't Fly, doesn't take off well in Hong Kong.

The ad, sponsored by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has been banned from Hong Kong's airport.

The "Cruelty Doesn't Fly" spot features the Baywatch star acting as an airport security guard who removes furs and leathers from passengers and shows a couple nude from behind.

PETA Asia's vice president Jason Baker told The AFP: "Given the groping that you see at security checkpoints and the nudity that you see in body scans we're surprised that our lighthearted ad was deemed too risqué."

Young Actress Forced Into Nude Scene

A young Chinese actress has complained in a forum post that she was forced by a music video director to go stark naked when shooting a music video for singer Liu Jialiang (刘嘉亮).

The actress in question, who used the alias Ai Mei Xiao Mao Mi (暧昧小猫眯), said the director first asked them to wear just underpants for a bed scene.

But he was not satisfied with the results.

He then demanded they removed their knickers too.

Even though Jialiang opposed the idea, the director was insistent and kept telling them to respect his “artistic vision,” she said in the post.

The actress said she regretted shooting the MV and hoped the director would respect her modesty and delete the nude scenes.

Jialiang’s agent confirmed what the actress said was correct.

She added, however, the director had clearly told them beforehand the MV might require nude scenes and no opposition was raised at that time.

The agent said maybe the actress regretted her actions but went into filming in full knowledge of what was expected.

“Of course, we do not rule out the possibility that she has done this to attract attention.”

Here are the nude pictures from last year's Hong Kong extortion sex scandal involving a well-known local model name Yan Ng. According to scandalous reports, 35 year-old married insurance manager Deng Wei Xiong (鄧偉雄) was charged with using nude photographs to extort two girls into dating him, sexual intercourse, giving him money and to pose for more nude photos and videos including two sex clips. In court documents and and in the Hong Kong press, Yan Ng was referred to as "Miss X" to protect her identity. As Miss X in court documents she recalled in 2006 when she first met with Deng in a "compensated" dating site. The intermittent development of sexual relations in residential locations (including Deng home), hotels, and at karaoke rooms, etc., during which Deng Wei Xiong photographed Miss X nude. He encouraged her to pose for over a hundred photos and two sex videos, but Deng promised not to show to others and that he would deleted at any time at Miss X request.

But he did not keep his word and used the photos she willingly made with him to force her to continue their relationship. Deng let Yan Ng a.k.a. Miss X know if she didn't provide her sexual services to him that he would leak her nude photographs to the public. Miss X was determined to escape from Deng's coercion the end of 2007, but was forced hard to continue. Deng wanted Miss X to sever their relationship especially the nude photography and video. But Deng made sure she knew he was blackmailing her saying that if she failed to meet his requirements, everything would be release. He start to ask her for money and he also asked her to introduce other girls to him for the exchange of compensated dating. Enjo-kōsai means "compensated dating" and is a practice which originated in Japan where older men agree to give money and/or luxury gifts to young attractive women for their companionship, and possibly sexual favors on the date.

By 2008 many girls were being blackmailed by him and it continued for another year. In June of last year, defendant Deng Wei Xiong pleaded not guilty that from July to October the year before he blackmail Miss Yan Ng out of 20 thousand yuan and her sexual services. Deng coerce the model to have sexual intercourse with him and to posing for more nude pictures and sex tapes involving him and the victim. It is believed that Miss X contacted the police in July 2008 and communications between Deng and Miss X were captured sealing the case again him for extortion. He also blackmailed other girls to produce more than a million yuan and for sexual intercourse. Most of the girls did not willingly contact the police and they did not want to press charges against Deng. Roughly translated, Hong Kong's Ming Pao Daily News reported:

When passing the sentence, the magistrate pointed out that the defendant as a person with a career, having the economic ability of a mature man, but the use of nude photos to blackmail powerless, girls as young as a 21-year-old student, as disgusting. But also said the victims live in fear all day now, suffering great pressure, repeated on every occasion. The magistrate said it was hard for me to tears, but the defendant has pleaded not guilty and the victim once again had to repeat the shame of her past, is rubbing salt into in her wound.

The defendant Deng Wei Xiong wrote letters to the magistrate earlier pleading that his wife find it hard to face. He said it was "a mistake of using money to buy sexual services, not to maintain a normal relationship between men and women." Deng said it was not blackmail, he only bought sex from the girls. He also refer to being shocked at the prosecution and express it was completely unexpected. The magistrate pointed out that the contents of the letter, saying that the defendant was morally wrong, doubtful of his remorse. He was charged with two counts of blackmail, on June 25, 2009 in Kwun Tong Court. And on August 20 was sentenced to 1 year in jail by the magistrate.

Mom punishes daughter by parading her naked on the street

A mother has been charged with abusing her eight-year-old daughter by forcing her to parade naked on the streets of Hong Kong.

She committed that act to punish the girl for damaging a fan.

According to the chargesheet, the naked girl was spotted wandering near a commercial mall in Tuen Mun on June 18.

A passer-by bought her clothes at the mall before calling the police.

The girl was sent to a hospital where doctors found bruises on her arms, legs and chest.

Police investigations revealed that the girl was beaten by her mother with a clothes hanger after she broke a switch of an electric fan.

After the beating, the mother removed the girl’s clothes and pushed her out of the house, ordering her to parade through the streets.

The mother, a 35-year-old ex-beautician, admitted that she had used the wrong way to punish the child.

She pleaded guilty to the charge of abusing her daughter at a court on Wednesday.

The court has set July 7 for sentencing.

The mother was released on bail.

The infamously tightfisted Joan then sacked Kenneth last September after a 30-year relationship, dishing out a meagre HK$100,000 (S$18,000) as compensation. It is believed the 50-year-old is still unemployed.

For the record, according to labour laws in Hong Kong, an employee of Kenneth's circumstances should receive around HK$500,000 (S$89,000) in layoff reward.

Edison Chen says some sex photos were taken by the girls

The Hong Kong pop star at the centre of a sex photos scandal says some of those photos were taken by the women who had sex with him.

Edison Chen was in court today in Vancouver, testifying in a case in which computer technician Sze Ho-chun, 23, was accused of distributing the photos of Chen performing sex acts with well-known starlets.

While Chen admitted that most of the 328 photos submitted in court today were taken by him, he claimed 40 of them were taken by the women in the photos.

Chen was ordered by the judge to answer a question raised by the defendent’s lawyer to identify the four women in the string of sex photos. The four names are: Cecilia Pak-Chi Cheung, Gillian Yan-Tung Chung, Bo Bo Man-Wun Chan and Rachel Sze-Wing Ngan.

In the court today, Chen once refused to identify the women, saying they have suffered enough. But the judge insisted that he must answer the question.

This is the first time he admits to the identity of the women. Before that, only Gillian Chung has admitted publicly that one of the women in the photos was her.

Chen described the scandal as “torture”. He said the release of the photos was a “well-planned attack” on him and the women because they were uploaded to the net bit by bit and gradually, from smaller to larger quantities.

Chen said the photos were taken with the consent of two adults. He had not shown them to any third party and said he’d never meant to share the photos anyone else except the women he took the pictures with.

More than 50 reporters from Hong Kong and local Canadian media were at the court today covering the story.
